Accelerating Public Sector Digital Opportunities at Phase2

Jeff Walpole | CEO

April 6, 2020

We are excited to announce that after more than a decade of delivering on successful Federal Government contracts working with prime contracting partners, Phase2 has been awarded the GSA IT Schedule 70 Services contract.

This means that Phase2 is joining the largest and most widely used acquisition vehicle in the Federal Government, providing direct access for government agencies to hire our team of talented experts. For us, that means expanded opportunities to bid and win more of the government work we are best positioned to perform.

We have always believed in the power of an open and digital government and, today, this imperative is more important than ever before.

Phase2 has a long history of providing digital experience for government agencies to improve the citizen experience and provide access to vital government information and services. In 2009, we were honored to play a leading role in the launch of the most high profile digital property of the Obama administration. In 2010, we created a Drupal distribution for government called “OpenPublic” that allowed other public sector organizations to build robust digital platforms from an open source code base of the best practices for public-facing websites.

Subsequently, Phase2 has led dozens of government agencies in their adoption of open source digital platforms. We have had the privilege of serving the DOE, DOI, DHS, HHS, NASA, IRS, NIH, USAID, NSF, USPTO, EEOC, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, state of North Carolina, the state of Georgia, and many others.

A timeline of Federal government clients of Phase2

From 2009 to today, we estimate that the platforms we have built have powered over 800 site launches for public sector organizations.

During this time, we have also seen our service offerings and capabilities expand dramatically from the development of CMS powered websites, multi-site platforms, and Intranet and community sites to bringing more robust digital strategy, user experience, accessibility and creative services like  design, branding, and content services.

While our partnership with leading system integrators like Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, GDIT, Leidos, Salient CRGT, SRI, and others will continue, we will increasingly draw from our own ability to contract directly with the Federal Government on more specialized and targeted engagements.

We are especially thankful for the timing of these awards as we continue our commitment to ‘create digital experience that advances the human experience’ in the middle of this current COVID-19 global pandemic. Many of the organizations are in the middle of this crisis and have a growing need to build digital solutions to our very real world challenges.
