The panelist line up is now live for the upcoming OpenGovDC conference! This conference is bringing together the individuals who use open source tools to advance open government. We are thrilled to have such an experienced team of panelists from the Federal Communications Commission, Department of Energy, USAID, General Services Administration, Department of Education, Navy, and the White House to share what works and what doesn't as far as open source implementations. The full agenda is available at OpenGovDC.com.
We're looking forward to kicking off the day with our keynote speaker - Steve VanRoekel, managing director of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Last week the FCC went live with the new FCC.gov overhauling their web strategy with open source solutions.
With topics ranging from Collaborative Code and Open Data to Building Usable Websites and Securing Open Source Applications, the day is going to be packed with informative content from practitioners who have successfully implemented these solutions. To complement the main track of sessions, we are also featuring technical workshops to help government technologists learn how to implement and build on the lessons from the main room.
We're still confirming a few speakers, so be on the look out for updates over the next few days. We're excited to be partnering with Development Seed to extend knowledge sharing of open source tools for more effective, usable government websites.
