We're getting ready to head out to BADCamp this week, and in preparation for the Module and App Building Code Sprint on Saturday, I wanted to send out a couple of tips for making the most of the sprint.
First off, I'll be on hand with Achieve, ImageX Media and Treehouse Agency to help developers interested in building apps get started. But to make the most of the afternoon and based on what you hope to get out of the code sprint, it would be great if you could do a few things to be ready:
Whether you want to finish with an app, or just learn:
- Have a development environment set up - local would be ideal to avoid any network issues from interfering.
If you want to create an app:
- Have a module that does what you want your app to do - i.e. if you want an app that does mail chimp integration for a site, have a module ready that does most of the work with some setup.
I wanted to keep the prep work short and sweet, and I'll see you on Saturday. If you have questions in the meantime, post a comment below.
