April 29th marks the kickoff of RailsConf 2013 and I'm happy to announce that Phase2 is sending Doug Marcey and me to hold it down for 4 Rails-packed days in the beautifully weird Portland, Oregon.

RailsConf offers us a unique opportunity to grow our Ruby discipline here at Phase2, which I've been asked to lead up in exchange for the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest and most talented individuals in the Rails community.

We've already had some great successes with Rails for both internal and client applications and we've found it to be an extremely useful tool. The conference features tons of great sessions that will undoubtedly help us hone that tool as it continues to grow as a workhorse in the Phase2 Utility Belt™.

I'm also extremely excited to hear from some of the biggest names in web development (including David Heinemeier Hansson, the original creator of the Ruby on Rails framework) who will be delivering keynote presentations.

Stay tuned this week for conference updates and takeaways, and if you're attending -- I look forward to seeing you there!
