  • McWilliams|Ballard (“M|B”) is a progressive sales and marketing firm specializing in multi-family housing. M|B creates partnerships with builders and developers to provide start-to-finish sales and marketing solutions, as well as effective consulting and market research. Based in the Washington D.C. area, but known nationally, M|B has quickly become one of the most successful real estate and marketing firms on the East Coast.

    What We Did

    M|B has upwards of 70+ projects going at any one time and an aggressive sales and marketing staff working to get the properties on those projects sold. The company needed a way to keep track of all inventory details, pricing information, price changes, contracts and buyers in a central place. At the same time, management and developers were looking for near real-time decision making information about the projects underway including traffic, sales, pricing, and demographics trending across properties. Managing all of this information in spreadsheets was no longer feasible and attempts to develop other processes and use off the shelf real estate marketing solutions had been unsuccessful.

    M|B turned to Phas2 to plan, design, and build a new flexible platform to manage these properties in a web-based application and execute these business functions. In addition, the platform needed to be able to accommodate personalized views for various users ranging from developer clients to sales people. Keeping a tight budget, strict schedule and control over custom requirements were factors as the new system needed to be implemented in as precise and efficient manner as possible.

    To satisfy all of M|B’s needs, Phase2 has developed a web-based enterprise system that can be accessed by all its different user groups – that each receive customized information and views into the property database. From an enterprise system perspective, the System contains five core modules that encompass the sales, marketing, and inventory tracking components of the major business processes including:
