After providing more than 50 years of educational events and professional opportunities to the creative community in the DC area, we wanted to say “thanks” to the Art Directors Club of Metro Washington (ADCMW) by building them a Drupal site that could support their organizational efforts.
For example, when our own Samantha -- who is on their board -- told us that ADCMW was having to manually reconcile hundreds of accounts to monitor membership dates and event sign-ups, we just knew that we could make their volunteers’ lives *much* easier.
Thanks to our day-to-day work with Drupal, we could help them quickly publish event- and education-related information, provide a foundation for which Samantha could create a beautiful new design, and give them a member database that enabled easy export of member information like email addresses. And ADCMW had a partially-completed Drupal system already in place, so we filled in the gaps, upgraded certain aspects, and then integrated CiviCRM to manage the heavy lifting of membership data.
“Giving our time to specific organizations who need our expertise is just one of the ways we try to support the growth of our local professional community,” Jeff said. “ADCMW is a historic fixture here in DC, and we were happy to help.”
The resulting site not only has received acclaim in the ADCMW community and from its members, but it’s also been recognized by outside designers like those from Unmatched Style, who were intrigued by Samantha’s design.
