Georgia Technology Authority Moving from Vignette to OpenPublic

For Immediate Release: Alexandria, VA, September 14, 2011 – Phase2 Technology, based in Alexandria, VA, was awarded the contract to replace, migrate and support the State of Georgia’s enterprise content management system on OpenPublic a Drupal-based CMS for government. The Georgia Technology Authority administers the system, which manages content for Georgia.gov and 65 state agency websites. the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 85 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to 1,400 state and local government entities in the state of Georgia.

OpenPublic was developed by Phase2 Technology through their work with federal clients in building open source multi-site platforms.

Phase2 Technology will be teaming with Acquia and Mediacurrent to provide development and hosting support in the transition from Vignette, the state’s current enterprise content management system.
