OpenPublish 2.2 will appeal to a global audience with new translations in addition to added functionality. Additions included:

  • French, Spanish, German and (partial) Dutch translations
  • Drupal core security update
  • Security and regular updates for numerous contributed modules
  • Node Embed for CKEditor gives users the ability to embed nodes within others with a single click.
  • Bug fixes for greater stability

Phase2 Technology's CTO, Frank Febbraro and the Director of Product Development, Irakli Nadareishvili, discussed the latest release and what to expect in the future at Drupalcon Copenhagen, the bi-annual conference for Drupal developers and enthusiasts. The slides for the presentation can be found here.

Technologist Dominik Lukes tweeted about the new features, "Some of the interface improvements in OpenPublish presented at Drupalcon should really be part of Drupal core."
