Shawn Mole

Solutions Analyst

As a solutions analyst with us, Shawn excels at understanding users and bringing their needs together with business goals. When working on a project, he works tirelessly to find an elegant, simple means by which people can get what they need to get done -- and without worrying about the technical details.

For more than a decade, Shawn has been designing, coding, handling knowledge management, and doing content strategy for higher education and the United States Army Contracting Command. He's also created system requirements and user documentation for everyone from college students to anesthesiologists.

"No matter what hat I'm wearing, I'm striving to make something easy to understand and enjoyable."

He's been taking that approach since his years as an instructional technologist teaching and supporting faculty members and students at Virginia Tech, his alma mater, where he earned his MA in professional writing.

As Luke Wroblewski puts it, "Mobile is Exploding". As smartphone sales surpass PCs and more and more people are doing their casual surfing from the couch or the line in the grocery store, everyone is talking about how to meet mobile user's needs. Moreover, an increasing number of users are using smartphones or tablets as their only personal computer. We think that for the public sector, especially for any organization that wants to provide equal access to everyone, this means that you need a strategy for reaching these devices.
