Josh Cooper

User Interface Developer

Josh Cooper’s user interface development skills play a vital role in bringing great design ideas into fully functioning websites.  His specializations in HTML, CSS, Javascript plus his focus on Drupal as a platform, make Josh an invaluable UI Developer.

With additional interests in design technologies, Josh has gained experience and a deep understanding in Photoshop, video editing, 3D modeling, content management systems, and cross-browser development.

Prior to Phase2, Josh worked on many projects for Fortune 500 companies and NGO’s as a front end developer while working at Virilion. He collaborated closely with several Drupal developers to deliver cutting edge web solutions while pushing development performance and using standards-based techniques.

Josh studied Computer Science at Ithaca College earning his BA.

Death of a Cut-Up Man

The modern day cut-up man/woman/shop is dead when it comes to a dynamic system. It’s sad because no obituary was written nor news alert on AP/CNN posted, but it’s true. The theory, that a company or individual needs to ‘cut-up’ the design composition into a semi-working website before full development of the backend system is highly unnecessary and inefficient. In a time where budgets are even tighter than they have been in years past and a need for continual push around efficiency in development, eliminating the process of cut-ups before development needs to die quickly.
