As our Director of Product Development, Irakli revels in developing packaged, turn-key solutions using open-source technologies and cutting-edge, semantic APIs. He brings vast expertise in the areas of: product design, development, performance, scalability, and service-oriented architectures.
It’s been a love affair more than a decade in the making; he has been an avid open-source advocate and contributor, an active member of the Drupal community since 2007. Before that, he was designing and developing software in LAM/PHP, Java/J2EE, Python, and .Net.

Clients learn quickly that Irakli’s passion for designing and integrating APIs is rivaled only by his contributions to the Drupal community at-large. Aside from his popular open source news and reviews blog, freshblurbs.com, he also speaks at conferences worldwide, has been quoted in mainstream media, and has increasingly been contributing to the semantic web dialogue.
Irakli earned his BS in Physics from Tbilisi State University. He also earned an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

After wonderful three and a half years, I will be leaving Phase2, this week. As I wipe tears of sadness to be partying with my friends and receive congratulations with the new position, I took time to write a blog post to my colleagues and the Drupal community, talking about my departure and what that means for Phase2 products.
