Alexandria, VA - September 13, 2007 - Phase2 Technology ("Phase2") announced today its selection by the Institute for the Study of War ("ISW") to redevelop ISW's overall web application platform, starting with a redesign of UnderstandingWar.org.

The Institute for the Study of War's mission is to educate the public on all aspects of military operations. To do this, plans are being developed for an interactive website, with multiple tools and maps to enhance the site visitor's experience. In addition, CRM solutions are being investigated for management of the various types of ISW contacts, including government officials, students, educators, journalists, etc.

Recognized as an active contributor and developer within numerous open source projects and communities, Phase2 has plans to re-architect the existing website using an open source CMS. For the backend CRM solution, open source components are being planned for use as well. Phase2 will integrate the two systems for a comprehensive user experience for the site visitor and seamless information management by ISW staff.
