Phase2 Technology to Provide Website CMS Platforms for PEJ and CCJ
Alexandria, VA - April 13, 2006 - Phase2 Technology ("Phase2") announced today that the company was selected to redevelop the individual websites for two non-profit journalist campaigns, The Project for Excellence in Journalism ("PEJ") and The Committee of Concerned Journalists ("CCJ"). The two conjoined units are separating to become independent journalism organizations, with the PEJ becoming a Project of the Pew Research Center and the CCJ moving under the University of Missouri School of Journalism umbrella.
This project requires the development of two distinct websites with a unique identity and content customization for each party. For the PEJ website, the website redesign will include enhanced navigation, organization, and graphic design, a Content Management System ("CMS"), as well as various statistical tools for reporting. The new CCJ website will also involves new graphic design/branding and a web based CMS. In addition to these elements, an email list manager and a Constituent Relationship Management ("CRM") system will be integrated into website infrastructure.
About The Project for Excellence in Journalism
The Project for Excellence in Journalism ("PEJ") is an initiative of journalists with the goal to clarify and raise the standards of American journalism. The organization, underwritten by Pew Charitable Trusts, aims to 'use research rather than merely criticism to clarify and raise the standards of American journalism'. Through journalism research, the organization provides journalists the tools to understand the expectations set by the press and provide better results to meet this demand.

About The Committee of Concerned Journalists
The Committee of Concerned Journalists ("CCJ") is an assemblage of reporters, editors, producers, publishers, owners and academics from across media who are concerned about the future of journalism. The organization believes that in order for journalism to survive, journalists themselves must be clearer, more rigorous and more vocal about the principles that set their profession apart and make their jobs matter. Through forums, studies, and workshops the group spreads their concern and works towards a journalist reform.
