Last time I looked at a few example of how designing responsively affects some areas of the project process. I wanted to expand on that and actually develop these thoughts into a series that will hopefully cover those parts of the process more in
-depth along with some others.
I think Content is a good place to start as it’s a) usually an early part of the process and b) one that will make a substantial impact on your project
Okay, so we’re designing responsively. How does that affect content?

Beyond creating one public-facing site, organizations large and small struggle with the question of how to create, manage, and maintain multiple program specific sub-sites in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Most of the time, the need for building program sub-sites are not one-off requests, so creating a single site for every instance becomes too cumbersome and time intensive, and can adversely affect organizational branding.

The discipline of Computer Science is often considered distinct from web development. However, in order to develop high-quality web solutions, good coding standards and requirements gathering is vital. Applying the principles of Computer Science can sometimes become tricky, my hope with this series of blog posts is to map some of these standards directly to the domain of the web.

With the economy near all-time lows, job complexity on the rise, and millions of security breaches occurring each year in the U.S. alone, how can companies keep up with the growing myriad of compliance issues? According to a recent CIO article, “Most companies, depending upon their industry, have to comply with anywhere from one to six or more regulatory requirements imposed by a government or industry entity to protect consumers, patients, investors and others.” Much of this can be attributed to regulatory environment crack-downs like Sarbanes Oxley, the sub-prime Mortgage collapse, and major ponzi schemes.

World Bank has been collecting massive amounts of data, for the past 50+ years, and now possesses one of the richest repository of information about economic development in the world. Phase2 Technology had the pleasure of helping World Bank architect and engineer a new major release of its Open API 2.0
As we steadily approach the next era online where open data and the semantic web gives us more than we ever dreamed, the launch of each new major web-services API is significant. When a rich and unique data repository like the World Bank's opens its data for free, a world of possibilities opens up.
