We’re happy to announce that we are in active development for Open Atrium 1.0, which we plan to release in mid-July. The release will be available for download at OpenAtrium.com.

First, many thanks to you in the Open Atrium community for teaching us how you’re using Atrium, and what you need it to be able to do. Community members like the folks at Nuvole and Touchstone, and Adam Ross, and of course our friends at Development Seed, have been instrumental in developing a collaborative, community-driven roadmap for this release.

1.0 will be largely a security and maintenance release, with several module updates and of course an update of Drupal core. But, there will also be a few enhancements to features like Case Tracker and Calendar. As of now, we’re keeping Open Atrium on Drupal 6, where we’re finding that the user community is making strides in developing remarkable customizations and features.

Now that’s where you come in: do you have a feature you’ve developed for Atrium? Or a new use of Atrium you’d like to show off? We want to know about it. As part of our ongoing efforts with Open Atrium, we’re working to gather information about the features people are building for Atrium, and what problems those features are solving. We’ll be highlighting those features in new ways, and making them easier to find for those customizing this powerful collaboration tool.

And if you’re looking for a place to find some of these features, start here with this list of community-contributed features on the OA community site.

If you’re using Open Atrium, we want to hear about it. And if you’ve built a feature, we want to see it. Check back in the coming weeks for the 1.0 release.
